Responsibilities:
  • Be part of fun, small, collaborative and agile development team
  • Create, maintain, and execute manual test plans for our desktop, mobile, and native applications according to a planned weekly release schedule
  • Report and track issues in a bug tracking system
  • Work closely with tech, product, and other business teams to ensure every release meets the highest quality standards

Qualifications:
  • BS in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent is preferred but not required
  • 1+ years’ experience in a tech related position
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to explain technical concepts in simple terms
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, SQL, and Git preferred but not required

We’re looking for our first in-house Senior Product Designer to join us full-time to scale the Elektra Labs core product, the Atlas.

The Atlas supports pharma, biotech and contract research organizations (CROs) deploying connected technologies to measures digital biomarkers in remote research (e.g., decentralized clinical trials) and clinical care. We developed Atlas after interviewing over 300 stakeholders in the software-enabled clinical trials ecosystem.The Senior Product Designer will work closely with other product, engineering, and research team members to be the instrumental creative partner.

The Senior Product Designer will help create and design a cohesive user experience and have autonomy to work on high-impact features and products.


What you’ll do
  • Work on the user experience for Atlas; including but not limited to designing and conducting user tests with Elektra customers
  • Collaborate with product team members and engineers to bring product requirements and specifications to life
  • Develop our design style, build and test product features
  • Build relationships with team members by engaging on weekly calls

What you have
  • A desire to improve patient access to safe and effective connected technologies
  • Comfort in moving quickly via rapid prototyping in an agile environment (our first set of design patterns have been developed in Figma)
  • A longer portfolio of products that didn’t work than ones that did work because you’ve been extensively testing and trying out different experiences for users
  • Ability to work full-time, autonomously, and collaboratively in a small, dynamic team
  • Enthusiasm for experimenting with multiple domains, from product to research to engineering (we’re a small team, and our best teammates have a core competency with a curiosity and willingness to expand their skillsets, swiss-army knife style)
  • Low ego and high EQ: no job should be too small for the ideal candidate
  • A proven track record of being a motivated self-starter with time management and organizational skills (previous experience working remotely, a huge plus!)

Role

The Performance Marketing Manager role at Remote Year will be focused on getting the message out in order to find new Remotes (customers) to join the Nation (broader Remote Year community). Starting at the top of the funnel, the Performance Marketing Manager will be responsible for optimizing ad spend on a daily basis across campaigns, audiences, platforms and ad creatives. They will collaborate to make sure that we’re getting the best bang for our buck with our media spend while also staying true to brand in an ongoing and iterative fashion.

The Performance Marketing Manager will also be the owner of the entire UX for all users from traffic to lead, working to improve the experience at all stages to optimize the yield from our digital funnel. This is a highly executional role and will require you to get down in the weeds as an individual contributor, and at the same time will help shape / drive the strategy behind entire paid marketing funnel


Responsibilities
  • Utilize paid channels to find the most and highest quality leads possible to send to our Program Placement team
  • Drive ad creative / copy strategy by building the concepts, testing, and iterating to find optimal performing ads.
  • Create, run, and analyze A/B testing to various parts of the funnel and formulate new hypothesis on an ongoing basis to test and iterate on
  • Build and scale cost efficient paid digital campaigns spanning multiple channels and objectives
  • Summarize and report on digital marketing performance using our suite of analytical tools and methods
  • Leverage analytical ability to look beyond the numbers in our paid marketing channels and understand how our traffic interacts with our website to grow the business
  • Drive higher yield from paid media by optimizing the website experience for both paid and organic traffic

Qualifications

Required
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience working for a small marketing team in a fast-growing start up
  • Deep expertise with Facebook, Instagram, and Google ad platforms for lead acquisition
  • Experience/passion for A/B testing and data driven decision making for all aspects of paid campaigns (targeting, creative, audiences)
  • Familiar with industry best practices in inbound marketing, demand generation, paid/organic search
  • Proven ability to build accurate campaign budgets and campaign forecasts
  • Strong data evaluation skills with the ability to extract and interpret data from various sources to offer creative marketing solutions.
  • Extraordinary analytical skills (Google Sheets / Excel fluency is a requirement; SQL fluency a nice-to-have).

Nice to have
  • Experience building out analytics technology stacks to support marketing efforts
  • Experience for a small high growth startup
  • Experience in a startup creating a new space / industry
