You Will Be
  • Communicating directly with and taking direction from Wpromote’s SEO and Content Marketing Managers
  • Writing monthly website content, mainly blogs, landing pages, service pages, and product pages
  • Performing research on your client and becoming an expert
  • Performing research on your assigned monthly topics to create unique, quality content
  • Utilizing SEO best practices in your writing including the body, headings, and titles
  • Adhering to brand guides, adjusting your writing style to match the writing style of our client, and using verbiage that speaks to our target market(s).
  • Reviewing and proofing your work to ensure your copy is high-quality, clean, and error-free
  • Making edits and revisions as needed
  • Topics you may be asked to write on include: financial services, credit unions, loans, credit cards, checking, and savings

You Must Have
  • Bachelor's degree; English, Writing, or related field preferred
  • Extensive experience writing on financial and banking services — we are looking for a real financial expert!
  • The lingo of the financial market
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and experience writing SEO-optimized copy
  • Solid MS Office and Google Docs skills
  • The ability to be efficient, detail-oriented, and reliable
  • Proven experience writing to different target audiences and adjusting your writing style as needed

We're looking for a Software Development Manager to lead a feature team and collaborate on delivering world class features to our end users. This team is responsible for developing end user customer experiences, making sure they function as designed, and are delivered on time.

What You’ll Do

  • Constantly improve team productivity, refine agile processes, and create methods to increase efficiency.
  • Investigate, analyze, and evangelize programming methodologies such as test-driven development, pair programming, etc.
  • Perform personnel management tasks for a team of developers, including performance reviews, compliance with company policies, mentoring, and helping plan career growth.
  • Train new software engineers on our best practices, standards, culture, and policies.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Engineering in setting roadmap and priorities to ensure deliverables are met as well as raising concerns identified early on.
  • Champion good habits (development techniques, security, tech debt balance, TDD, and agile habits) within your team; improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
  • Encourage active participation in all phases of the project lifecycle, and work with project management to remove impediments and provide visibility to stakeholders.

What You’ll Bring
  • Typically, 7+ years of relevant engineering experience in fast paced environments
  • 4+ years experience managing high performing agile development teams
  • 3+ years prior experience programming in at least one OO language (python preferred)
  • 2+ years experience in cloud-native environments such as GCP, AWS, or Azure
  • Track record of meeting schedules on time; clearly defining deliverables and timetables, with demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities in complex environments and manage teams to successful project completion
  • Demonstrated ability as an effective mentor and coach who understands how to successfully integrate into a team of talented developers
  • Exceptional analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work remotely and desire to make an impact at a boot-strapped start-up
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience desired

What We Are Looking For
  • Strong CS fundamentals
  • Experienced with Java and JavaScript…preferably at least 3 years with each.
  • Excellent grasp of web technologies (HTTP, sessions, site performance, Javascript, HTML, and CSS) and javascript are a must.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent

Job Functions:
  • Execute and maintain existing test strategy and QA process
  • Maintain existing QA automation framework
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
  • Monitor debugging process results
  • Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
  • Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
Job Requirements:
  • Excellent English language skills.
  • Able to read French or German is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation.
