I’m Jon Carcone, and I own 4 Brothers Buy Houses. We are one of the largest privately owned home buyers in the DC Metro Area. We are a small, entrepreneurial and fast growing company. We are looking for an independent, driven part time sales person to join our team.

Make $30+ per hour with good performance ($18-22/hr base pay + commissions). Health insurance, 401K with match, PTO, and Flexible schedule provided after a track record of performance is established.

Those looking for big company structure and hand holding will not find working here enjoyable.

This will be a performance based job where your output in terms of number of appointments is tracked, and that will dictate your incentives and ultimately how long you are in the role for. We offer a weekly cold calling training to support you, which is mandatory to attend. Beyond that you will mainly be required to go through our training materials and 'self teach' and learn quickly through the job.

In terms of responsibilities, you'll be calling existing warm leads in our database, taking new inbound lead calls, and making outbound cold calls to single family home owners to gauge their interest in selling their house. You'll then setup sales appointments with interested prospects to speak with our sales representative.

We are looking for 2-3 hours a day to start, with opportunity to increase to 4-5 hours a day+ and eventually full time if you hit your sales targets. Must be able to work at least 3-4 hours over the weekend and some week nights.

Compensation:
  • $15-20/Hr Based On Experience + Significant Commission Potential
  • $1,000-$3,000 per appointment you schedule that closes
  • Easily make $8-15K a year in commissions alone if performing well

Requirements:
  • Must possess solid phone skills and be unafraid to talk to anyone - both cold and warm calling (we'll teach you the things to say and the questions to ask)
  • Must be comfortable in a performance based culture where those who perform well will have greater responsibilities and those who don't will not be in the position long
  • Deal oriented with ability to manage our sales CRM system and calendar
  • Comfortable with technology- video conferences, google voice, google drive, etc
  • Willing to have accountability conversations on a regular basis

Job Duties

As PPC News Writer, you will be expected to:
  • Develop news stories on PPC advertising that will be of interest to marketers – including paid search, paid social, and other types of digital advertising (e.g., display, remarketing). This includes stories from the major ad platforms (Google / Bing / Facebook / Twitter / LinkedIn / Pinterest / etc.)
  • Monitor relevant publications, blogs, social media, forums, and any other relevant sources to source stories.
  • Produce stories in a timely fashion (breaking news). Ideally, as it happens (not 1-2 days after). But if/when you can’t be first to report, be best by adding a unique spin, industry/personal insight, expert commentary, analysis, or anything else that brings a fresh and unique perspective.
  • Format text for readability.
  • Conduct research to provide any needed context for readers.
  • Write accurate and engaging headlines that attract traffic and clicks.
  • Communicate (mainly via email) with the Executive Editor and fellow Search Engine Journal news writers.
  • Communicate with reps at ad platforms, if/when possible.
  • Add a Featured Image to every post. (Either you provide your own non-copyrighted image or you select one from our stock photo service.)
  • Include relevant screenshots/images/etc., whenever possible.
  • Cover all news stories thoroughly, following journalistic principles.
  • Link to related news stories and posts on Search Engine Journal.
  • Promote your stories on social media, etc.
  • Attend weekly Search Engine Journal team meetings.

Responsibilities
  • Identifying prospects that are potential customers of SimpleTexting
  • Create automated outreach email campaigns to generate interest
  • Work with our leadership team in developing email messaging and content
  • Follow up via email with prospects that express interest in learning more about our solution
  • Set up meetings or calls between prospective clients and our sales team
  • Research and share key information with our sales team about companies in advance of meetings scheduled
  • Report to the CEO on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales results
  • Maintain activity levels that generate the results needed to meet your sales goal
  • Maintain an accurate, documented pipeline
  • Strategically research information about other competitors in our space
  • Follow up with prospects after meetings have taken place to obtain feedback when appropriate
  • Develop our SDR playbook that we will follow as we grow our team
  • Once our processes are in place, identify the qualifications in future candidates we are looking for as we build out the team

Minimum Qualifications and Skills
  • Proven work experience as a Sales Development Representative, Sales Account Executive, Sales Development Manager, or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (email, inbound leads, phone qualification)
  • Track record of achieving sales quotas
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g. Apollo.io, outreach.io, mailshake, or other sales engagement platforms)
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Excellent communication (writing/verbal) skills
  • Strategic thinker
  • Ability to create engaging presentations
  • Advantage: Experience in SMS marketing

  • This is a full-time position
  • The budgeted compensation for this role is $55,000 – $65,000 annually based on prior experience

Requirements
  • At least 1 year experience in technical support
  • Knowledge of HTML, API
