About the role

We are in the process of redefining our backend by re-architecting some of our core services as microservices. At the same time, we are integrating high throughput pipelines throughout our platform to enable rich insights for our data science and business intelligence teams. What you'll do day in day out:
  • Design, develop, manage, and support microservices written in Golang.
  • Solve scalability and performance issues at an operating environment that constantly evolves and grows.
  • Consume internal and 3rd party RESTful APIs.
  • Debug and resolve issues and perform resolution follow ups.
  • Participate in project planning including research and development.

What you need to have:
  • Expert understanding of OOP and Design Patterns in at least one of the following languages: Go, PHP, Python, C#, Java or Kotlin, with more than 5 years of proven, production-grade software development expertise
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with the design and implementation of large Golang based production systems
  • Understanding of SOA and RESTful web service design, implementation and maintenance
  • Experience with MVC development frameworks and cascading modularity
  • Solid understanding of HTTP and Event Driven Architecture
  • Knowledge and experience (modelling and architecture) of SQL and relational databases (MySQL)
  • Some knowledge (and experience) of non-relational databases (one or more of MongoDB, Redis, ElasticSearch)
  • Solid experience with Software Testing
  • Experience in version control (Git preferable)

What it's nice to have:
  • Some knowledge (and experience) of non-relational databases (one or more of MongoDB, Redis, ElasticSearch)
  • Experience with CI/CD / microservices orchestration / Jenkins deployment
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with Message Brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ) or Message Queueing
  • Open source contributions
  • Experience in AWS or Google Cloud

The Role
  • This role is required due to considerable growth in the client base and the services offered to those clients.
  • We are looking an Amazon all-rounder. Someone with a breadth of experience and the ability to launch, optimise and expand the growth of brands on Amazon.
  • The role is suited to someone that loves responsibility, accountability and delivering results. You will be creative, entrepreneurial and always finding ways to drive growth

Responsibilities
  • Creating marketing plans to launch products on Amazon – using both Amazon and non-Amazon channels to generate awareness, sales and reviews
  • Devising strategy and execution of Amazon paid media strategies
  • Copywriting and listing formatting (images, A+ etc.) to improve conversion rates
  • Developing client strategy – setting objectives, planning, reporting, meetings etc.
  • You will also contribute to developing the agency so it can scale quickly. For example,
  • Developing processes and frameworks to optimise performance
  • Developing new business through blogging, conference speaking, webinars and other methods

I am not interested in how many years you have been working in marketing. I am interested in whether you have achieved results and your desire for personal growth.

As a minimum you will be expected to have experience managing Amazon stores and a track record of designing and optimising Amazon PPC strategies. You will be able to demonstrate expertise with Amazon’s search and programmatic marketing channels.

You will also have experience working with e-commerce brands. It does not matter whether your experience is in-house, freelance or at an agency.

What Does the Agency Do?

Presently, we’re a small team. Everyone works remotely and manage their own schedules. We offer Amazon and Ecommerce consultancy services. The client base and demand from those clients has expanded to the extent that we require full-time paid media expertise.

Most of our clients are product brands that are selling on Amazon. They are mostly consumer products though I do have B2B clients. Clients are based in the UK, mainland Europe and the United States.

Our clients are active in a wide range of sectors including skincare, office supplies, nutrition, clothing, stationery and books.

We provide a full-service offering to fully manage the entire operation of selling on Amazon. PPC is a core part of the service.

We also provide marketing strategy consultancy for clients. Some of those clients also sell direct to the customer through their own websites. Due to successes selling on Amazon those clients are now commissioning us to run search engine marketing activity.
