The role

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the various clients we support. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition, and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end components built by your coworkers into the application. Understanding of front-end technologies is therefore necessary as well.


Key Responsibilities

You will be working very closely with the products team and fellow engineers to architect, design and develop web-based tools. Your design and code will help our customers connect with freelancers from all over the world and help our freelancers' community do a better job of leading a remote lifestyle.

  • Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic
  • Building reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability
  • Implementation of security and data protection
  • Design and implementation of data storage solutions
  • Implement and evolve the REST API layer
  • Design and implement an SOA architecture.

Requirements

What we are looking for:

  • Experience with REST, API-driven development, and web app frameworks like Flask or Django
  • Good understanding of front-end technologies and platforms, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
  • Good understanding of server-side CSS preprocessors, such as LESS and SASS
  • User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
  • Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
  • Data migration, transformation, and scripting
  • Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms such as mobile vs desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platform
  • Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
  • Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
  • Proficient knowledge of a back-end programming language
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
  • Proficient understanding of OWASP security principles
  • Familiarity with some ORM (Object Relational Mapper) libraries
  • Good understanding of server-side templating language in Python
  • Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
  • Strong unit test and debugging skills
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools

The Role

Pantheon is currently looking for a motivated, proactive and energetic individual to fill in for a leave of absence. The Junior Project Manager works closely with the designers and stakeholders to set project milestones, create project timelines and track schedules to ensure all deliverable deadlines are met on time, on brand and to client specifications.


Cool Stuff You’ll Do

  • General project management support for priority initiatives, as requested by marketing leads
  • Facilitation of design grooming meetings (Thursdays) and design sprint planning meetings (Mondays). Attendance at stand-up meetings (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays)
  • Ensure clear acceptance criteria is provided by Stakeholders and design has all questions answered prior to sprint start dates
  • Act as the liaison between stakeholders and designers to gather feedback, request approvals and close accepted tasks


What You Bring To The Table

  • 2-3+ years of experience in marketing and/or advertising, with a focus on project management
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to problem solve, analyze potential solutions and use sound judgment to make decisions.

What You'll Bring

  • Typically, 5+ years of relevant development experience in fast paced environments
  • 5+ years of experience with JavaScript; Vue.js/React.js a plus
  • 3+ years experience with HTML5, CSS3
  • Solid experience with SASS and writing JavaScript (ECMAS 6 / 2016+)
  • Proficient with build tools, Webpack, preprocessors, and asset pipeline
  • Proficient with collaborative tools like Git
  • A knack for engineering simple solutions to solve complex problems
  • Self motivated with a passion for taking ownership of your work and delivering outcomes
