We produce hundreds of articles each month, with dozens of writers (both full-time and contract) spread out all over the world. We're fully remote, so you’re free to work whatever hours you want (as long as some overlap with your clients).

Here's a rough list of typical activities you’d face from week to week:

  • Planning content and client needs on a weekly basis
  • Providing weekly reports to clients and internal teams
  • Running client assessments to ensure targets are met each month
  • Coordinating new work with clients
  • Assigning and managing link building pipelines
  • Pitching new sites to contribute content, delivering content
  • Coordinating work with specialists (writers) and editors based on deadlines (for outlines, drafts, edits, etc.)
  • Some QA work (things like light copy edits, checking plagiarism, link angles, etc.) to make sure deliverables (pieces of content) meet specs

In other words, you're like a part-account executive to help clients and part-project manager, making sure we're delivering everything on time and under budget.

YOUR DAY MAY INVOLVE:

  • Interacting with existing and potential customers by responding to WordPress and platform related inquiries through email-based tickets and live chats.

  • Identifying and cleaning up malware-infected sites, providing advice, and preventing recurrence.
  • Writing and maintaining documentation, writing blog posts, and contributing to the community of WordPress support around the globe.
  • Deeply diving into WordPress issues for high-touch enterprise clients and agencies.


BEING A CUSTOMER SUCCESS ENGINEER REQUIRES:

  • A solid foundation in WordPress, its inner-workings, common issues, community, and proper use-cases. You are well-versed in your craft.
  • An eagerness to learn and the ability to adapt, allowing you to teach others. You are a lifelong learner.
  • Knowledge and experience with common web technologies, including HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and Git. You are comfortable working with and solving problems with PHP code.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills with a passion for taking technical language and making it understandable. You are fluent and eloquent in written English.
  • Advanced proficiency using the command line, WP-CLI, and an understanding of the domain name system (DNS), domain registration, and email various email setups. You are not afraid of the terminal.
  • A willingness to regularly assist with weekend coverage and some holiday and evening coverage. You are flexible, we support being able take care of your own needs however, our customers are global, and rely on us to provide expedient support, at any time of day
  • Self-driven work ethic. You are a self-starter who loves taking initiative and seeing things through to completion.

NOW HIRING: Marketing Automation Specialist

We're looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented, email-obsessed Marketing Automation Specialist to join our team. Your primary responsibility will be to own, execute, manage, scale, and optimize email automation and email marketing campaigns in GetResponse. You will get to know know GetResponse tools and customers like the back of your hand – and use those tools to deliver full-funnel marketing campaigns.


Key responsibilities:

  • manage, optimize, and keep up-to-date email automation campaigns for free and paid customers
  • identify opportunities, prioritize projects, design experiments, develop email marketing campaign strategy, oversee execution and analyze results
  • faciliate the localization of email campaigns in up to 7 languages
  • support wider marketing and product development teams with email campaign execution
  • assist with creating and executing content for in-app communication to customers
  • manage the GetResponse email database: provide governance, list hygiene and maintenance, comply with local regulations (i.e. GDPR), share processes and consult with others in the marketing team
  • seek, research, and share industry best practices and benchmarks; document your findings and propose new ideas and methods on a regular basis
  • assist with the development of lead scoring and marketing funnel improvements
  • act as a point of contact for customer support / customer-facing teams with feedback or requests related to our email campaigns
  • use English as your primary language
  • report to marketing management on project statuses and results


What do we expect?

  • English proficiency (near-native level desired)
  • 1+ year of hands-on email marketing experience (Mailchimp, GetResponse, ActiveCampaign, or any other software)
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent working experience
  • excellent project management skills and experience working cross-functionally (AKA you are a master multi-tasker)
  • strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • being detail-oriented and process-driven with experience in making data-driven decisions
  • comfortable working knowledge of the SaaS industry landscape
  • ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment
  • previous experience managing email marketing campaigns
  • being available to work in the European time zone business hours (i.e. around 9-5 CET)
