Who you are
  • You have several years of experience designing consumer facing mobile apps and websites
  • You're just as good with user experience/UX research as you are with creating the actual UI design
  • You're used to working with highly efficient and productive remote teams
  • You're comfortable doing other design related tasks, even if it's not UI/UX related

What you'll be doing
  • As our only UI/UX designer you will be taking our products and features from ideas to a complete design
  • This includes doing UX research, wireframing and creating the visual UI designs
  • You'll be working on our existing product called Upcomer as well as our new unreleased products

Veganbase LTD is a young company focused on creating technology for ethical companies.


Salary: 60 GBP to 100 GBP


Veganbase is a remote-only company, we built a marketplace/CMS for the fast-growing ethical industry. The marketplace is actually a smart database of linked items where brands manage their supply chain. Such a project is only possible because we focus on a niche (but growing) industry. Our backend is in GO, hosted with GCP (we received 20k from Google), we use the standard tech, Kubernetes, Docker, Postgres and are moving our API to GraphQL. Our front-end is Vue.js and Flutter and just uses the API. Our API is open and other companies are starting using it.

We already have some contracts that generate monthly revenue and can say we are profitable. We are fully transparent on our finances and operations. Not your traditional company. Our existing codebase is well documented and with tests written. Ideally, you have experience working in small startups, but what matters for us is your ability to communicate well and work in a team. We are open to hiring a junior as long as it has the right attitude.

We are looking for someone that joins us for 15% of the shares of the company plus a wage that grows every month.

Responsibilities

You will be working very closely with an account manager as part of the global mobility team, this requires you to be in EU/East Coast USA time zones. Most of us work remotely and communicate via video communication tools. You should therefore also have excellent internet communication.


CASES
  • Create cases
  • Update our CRM platforms with latest status on cases
  • Monitor progress of cases raised by account managers (AMs) and alert/request action from Subject Matter Experts if a case has been left unattended for too long

INVOICING
  • Send input requests from AM account
  • Update our communication platforms with client responses and add inputs to the checklist as per AM's instructions
  • Compile AM emails for clients who do respond to inputs by deadline to inform them we are proceeding with no additional inputs
  • Send invoices from AM account
  • Create out of cycle (OOC) invoices as per AM instructions
  • Compile emails for AM to request for unpaid invoices
  • Update invoice status page
  • Ensure checklists are updated
  • Invoice Creation – Verification
  • Support Account Manager in inputting monthly invoicing figures in Salesforce for the required clients

  • RENEWALS FOR EMPLOYMENT CONTRACTS (EC) AND WORK PERMITS (WP)
  • Create EC/WP expiry emails to client on behalf of your AM, and update our CRM platform accordingly

  • Save renewal docs once finalised
