Job Overview

Songspace is seeking a Data Developer to join our team that is responsible for developing and managing the data tools, applications, models, processes, and workflows that support the efficient and automated management and provision of the company’s data across internal systems and customer products, the ingestion of multimedia files and metadata provided by our clients and 3rd parties, and the exchange of music data with our sister companies and business partners. This role will also analyze and validate data, cleanse and transform data, and create/run SQL queries to deliver information to various teams across the company.This position offers an opportunity to design, build, and manage mission critical data applications and products with an experienced and supportive team in an interesting and fun industry.


Job Responsibilities
  • Work with data, technology, and operations teams to design, build, test, and implement an automated data ingestion, integration, and exchange platform, and supporting enterprise data model
  • Design, create, and improve software to monitor, audit, and test data processes, systems, and applications
  • Process the ingestion of music metadata and multimedia assets provided by music creator, publisher,and record label customers and partners within the timelines and specifications defined by the Client Services Team
  • Validate, transform, and cleanse data as required
  • Monitor content delivery processes and queues and troubleshoot/resolve issues and errors
  • Point of contact for technical data issues for the internal team
  • Proactively investigate, troubleshoot, and solve technical data issues, escalating unsolved issues to the appropriate team
  • Create and sponsor concepts and work with internal teams to develop new software and tools that will assist clients and/or internal stakeholders to automate and optimize data workflow and data accessibility
  • Work with the data and technology teams to plan, prioritize, and manage technical backlog of data deliverables
  • Perform custom SQL queries and run existing scripts and queries upon request
  • Create and Maintain scripts to automate daily tasks
  • Create and Maintain test data, and Perform/Test upgrades, code changes and bug fixes
  • Create and Maintain documentation of code, scripts, tools, applications, and processes
  • Train team members in use of internal data tools
  • Perform other job-related tasks as directed

Requirements

Required
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must possess strong analytical skills

  • Must be self-driven, proactive, and open to new ideas in problem solving
  • Must be comfortable working independently and collaboratively with small, distributed teams

Preferred
  • Experience with MySQL is preferred
  • Experience with *nix CLI and shell scripting is preferred
  • Experience with git is preferred
  • Experience with designing, developing, and using custom ETL code and processes is preferred
  • Experience creating, implementing, and using REST APIs is preferred
  • Experience with music data, music data standards (DDEX, CWR, ID3) is a plus
  • Experience with multimedia management software/tools and multimedia pipelines is a plus
  • Experience with music production, audio processing, and audio codices (.mp3, FLAC, WAV) is a plus
  • Experience with provisioning and supporting AWS data implementations (S3, EC2, RDS, Lambda,
  • Redshift, etc.) is a plus
  • Experience as a tech support/account manager or client-facing project manager is a plus

We are looking for a full stack .NET Engineer to join the Engineering team. You’ll take ownership for evolving and maintaining our C# ASP.NET codebase, including guiding best practices around style guides, frameworks, and automated unit and integration testing. You’ll work on applications used by our operations team and our customers to manage hundreds of small businesses nationwide.


What You'll Do:
  • Find solutions for the most unique and challenging customer requests, integrating new products into our ecosystem of offerings
  • Build out tools and applications that power a massive product inventory system.
  • Provide technical leadership for our .NET codebases and act as a mentor for other engineers on the team.
  • Partner with engineers on our distributed teams to help architect a unified experience for our customers to access multiple applications they rely on to run their businesses.

Who You Are:
  • You have 3+ years with C#ASP.NET (including MVC, Web API, Entity Framework)
  • You have the experience with optimizing SQL queries for performance; building stored procedures, database views, functions, and triggers
  • You enjoy working with with T-SQL. (Due to complexity in the database, complex database operations are written in T-SQL and not through Entity Framework)
  • HTML/CSS, Javascript, and jQuery are your strengths
  • You have a mentality that investing time in code reviews, mentorship, and automated testing help a team move faster
  • You have experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration, maintaining IIS in production
  • You are knowledgeable about .NET concepts like Lambda Expressions, LINQ queries

Nice to Haves:
  • You have crossed paths with Microsoft Azure, particularly Azure Pipelines for CI/CD previously
  • You want to learn more about or have experience in PHP, Ruby, or React
  • You are familiar with Rackspace architecture
  • You are comfortable working with git and GitHub

Content managers are responsible for creating listings that drive traffic and convert browsers into customers.

You will be responsible for planning each listing. You will devise the product narrative through brand, customer and keyword research and then create highly persuasive copy. The role also includes briefing graphic designers to ensure the visual content complements your copy.

Responsibilities
  • Copywriting – producing copy across a wide range of brands and product sectors
  • Brand, competitor and product research – getting under the skin of the brand and consumer behaviour to produce listings that reflect customer desires
  • Briefing designers to produce imagery to complement and enhance the product narrative
  • Keyword research to ensure listings are relevant customer search behaviour
  • Optimising listings and testing new formats to improve conversion rate
  • You will also contribute to developing the agency so it can scale quickly. For example,
  • Developing processes and frameworks to optimise performance
  • Developing new business through blogging, conference speaking, webinars and other methods
  • We are not interested in how many years you have been working in marketing. We put an emphasis on working with people that are ambitious, curious and have a desire for personal growth.
  • As a minimum you will be expected to have experience producing content for Amazon stores or producing content for similar ecommerce websites.
  • You will also have experience working with ecommerce brands. It does not matter whether your experience is in-house, freelance or at an agency.

What Does the Agency Do?
  • We provide a full-service offering to fully manage the entire operation of selling on Amazon.
  • Our clients are product brands that are selling on Amazon. They are mostly consumer products though we do have B2B clients. Clients are based in the UK, mainland Europe and the United States.
  • Our clients are active in a wide range of sectors including skincare, office supplies, nutrition, clothing, stationery and books.
  • Presently, we’re a small team. Everyone works remotely and manages their own schedules. Due to an increase in our client roster and the huge shift towards selling on Amazon we have plans to grow significantly this year.
