A growing startup publishing company seeks a research editor.

Instaread produces punchy summaries of bestselling books. Our writers read new and classic nonfiction books covering the arts, business, technology, finance, health, politics, religion, sports, self-help, and more. Writers are paid to produce a report on each book's key insights, using a template format.

What we're seeking:
Instaread research editors are responsible for reading up to six books per week and writing an internal evaluation of our writers' reports. To be successful in this position, you must be a skilled analytical and critical thinker, a quick reader, and an efficient writer. You must respond well to tight deadlines.

Interested candidates should send a resume and cover letter to the email address below with "Research editor" in the subject line. Do not send messages over the JJ interface. Your letter should describe your interest and qualifications for the position. Qualified candidates will be contacted to write a sample research report on one of our summaries. This is in lieu of an on-site interview, as the work will be done remotely.
