What we're looking for you:

Interfolio is seeking a growth-minded junior PHP engineer that is passionate about building great SaaS products for Higher Education. If you are a developer who is committed to teamwork and wants to work in an agile team with all the right players (smart, committed developers, strong product direction, dedicated QA and UX), this is the place for you!

If you enjoy building applications that make a difference and where growth is accelerating, this is the place for you. This role will focus on our Faculty180 product, a faculty activity reporting system.


Responsibilities

  • Contribute to team objectives consistently
  • Be a good teammate
  • Participate in planning and execution of roadmap
  • Participate in code reviews
  • Commit to producing quality software that people love


Requirements

  • You are willing to be part of a team
  • You have 1 or more years of experience in a coding role
  • You have object-oriented PHP skills
  • You are familiar with JQuery, Angular, CSS3, PostgreSQL is a plus, but not required
  • You are also familiar with services oriented architectures (SOA) and REST APIs also a plus
  • You have the ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative and ask for help, when needed
  • You currently reside in the continental United States


In addition, you should:

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree
  • Have a strong interest in higher education, startups, and/or SaaS technology
  • Speak and write fluently in English (as a minimum requirement)
  • Be able to travel 4x a year - the position is remote - team gets together once per quarter for planning and team bonding
