Hadley Designs is searching for an experienced stationery designer to lead our team in creating outstanding designs for products such as kids birthday party invitations, baby shower invitations, wedding invitations & home decor signs.

In todays world, people are becoming more and more busy and spend less time with family due to work, hobbies and other responsibilities. Our mission is to bring family and friends closer together, helping them identify ways to spend meaningful time creating memories and experiences that will last a lifetime.

Day to day responsibilities include:


  • Create, deliver and have approved for use 7 new product designs each week that are 100% original, without the use of clip art or other purchased artwork, using clever design aspects that match our brand style that will help us stand out above the competition. Designs will need to be researched ahead of time and always be relevant to current trends.
  • Design inspiration research: Be able to pick up on popular design trends before they are oversaturated. Be observant in your environment/social media to pick up on design trends and popular ideas.
  • Create 10 illustrations weekly that can be used for current and future product designs.
  • Create all matching items for new products such as thank you cards & party signage. Each design should be unique and clever. (For example, we do not want all thank you cards to have the same layout, wording or look.)
  • Focus on the smallest details of each design to prevent errors. (Sizing, Spelling, Printing, etc)


REQUIREMENTS


  • Proficient use of Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop
  • Exceptional illustration abilities
  • Hand Drawing and Sketching skills required. (Vector Illustration Skills)
  • Strong layout and typography skills
  • Time management to meet strict deadlines
  • Great ability to focus
  • Natural sense of color and creativity
  • Concerned about doing things the right way
  • Work from concept to finished rendering files ready for production
  • Learning based
  • Service-based attitude
  • Proven ability to succeed
  • Attentive to details
  • Friendly and articulate
  • Dress code: Yoga pants & your favorite tee
  • Proven track record of graphic design skills for event invitations & related stationery
  • Knowledge of printing process and how to design and create files for optimal print quality and efficiency
  • Candidates must have a strong eye for typography, a love of color and pattern, a strong illustration portfolio, and a passion for stationery and paper. Only candidates with significant illustrative work will be considered
  • High level of personal accountability
  • History of over-achieving and never settling for the bare minimum
  • History of “owning” the job and never ever giving the job back
  • Proven track record of organizational skills
  • Has managed other graphic designers or taught graphic design to others
