The Job
  • You'll develop and write simple but complete acceptance test cases in clearly understandable English that would be executable independently by others.
  • You'll organize test cases into efficient test plans based on the specific changes in each release.
  • You'll execute test the test plans / cases that you've built to identify bugs and proactively discover subtle product flaws.
  • You'll help us to develop and improve our overall testing methodologies and procedures, participating in daily standup with the development team and twice monthly retrospectives.
  • You'll follow up with real customers on a regular basis to help clearly identify product flaws and proactively work to identify UI, UX, and workflow problems
  • You'll help with the design of fixes and improvements to the product.
  • You'll write Cypress tests in JavaScript in an effort to constantly automate the repetitive parts of your job.
  • You'll work with the development team to incorporate other tools to further automate, improve and speed up the entire testing process.
  • You may even directly fix bugs you find by writing JavaScript, HTML or CSS.

  • You enjoy exploring complex software systems, discovering flaws, and working with others describe and confirm fixes -- product quality is your passion!
  • You enjoy developing the systems and processes which prevent the release of bugs as much as you do directly testing software to discover bugs.
  • You love to learn new technologies and embrace change. You are open to whatever technology, processes or techniques will improve your ability to quickly validate releases.
  • You thrive in a remote working environment where you may never meet your co-workers in person; you go wherever you want. You want complete control over your development and working environment. You understand how essential clear, consistent communication is when working remotely -- ambiguity makes you uncomfortable.
  • You enjoy vigorously defending what you know to be right as much as you enjoy being wrong when the best answer wins. You're loath to have your co-workers discover bugs you've missed.

Pathable (pathable.com) is the leading provider of mobile event apps and online community platforms for conferences, tradeshows, events, and associations.

From 10,000 doctors at a convention center to 200 community organizers meeting for a weekend, our software improves the entire experience of attending in-person conferences and events. Though we develop products delivered over the Internet, as a nearly 10 year-old profitable company, we're not quite a startup anymore.

Salary and Benefits
  • $25,000 - $30,000 in annual salary
  • 15 days / year in paid vacation and holidays
