You

Cosmic is looking to add an outstanding Senior Designer to join our team. If the following description sounds like you, then we’d like to meet.

  • Exceptional ability to translate high-level strategic concepts into visual designs and experiences
  • Strong familiarity with modern design aesthetics and patterns for web and app design
  • Strong ability to translate brand identity into web and app designs
  • Strong understanding and appreciation for color, typography, and composition
  • Strong ability to create iconography, illustrations, and supporting creative content for web and app designs
  • Strong understanding of atomic/component-driven design philosophies
  • Solid understanding of the communications and marketing interplay between websites, social channels, and communication channels
  • Solid understanding of modern web technologies and workflows
  • Ability to work directly with developers to implement designs and provide assistance during design handoff
  • Ability to present and champion your design work and the thinking behind it to other team members, our Creative Director, and clients
  • Able to work within a fast paced sprint cycle where new work and iterations to previous work is presented to the client on a weekly basis
  • Good communication skills, a positive attitude, enjoy working with clients and a team that are purpose driven
  • Enjoy collaboration and respects other team members diverse opinions and perspectives
  • Experience in either a creative agency or the internal design department of an established company
  • Strong ability to work independently and effectively in a remote team environment


The Gig

  • Your day to day will be a mix of designing for client projects and collaborating with our content writer, creative director, and dev team
  • Design brands, websites, and digital experiences that help tell stories and drive action
  • Develop information architectures for websites, apps, and digital action centers
  • Collaborate with the dev team to create interesting digital experiences and interactions
  • Collaborate on the content strategy with the team’s content strategist and creative director
  • Join weekly sprints with each of our clients, where you will present your designs in collaboration with the team
  • Continuously help to evolve our processes and workflows
  • Stay up to date on the social impact space including design, messaging, technology, and digital solutions used for donor engagement, content publishing, social engagement, sales processes, and emerging design/digital trends that could support clients in the social impact space
  • Continue to evolve as a thoughtful, empathetic designer
