Reckon Digital is a London-based software company. We create state-of-the-art business software solutions and provide consultancy in the areas of enterprise operations optimization, artificial intelligence and security within manufacturing, healthcare, finance, and NGO.

We are looking for an accomplished developer to join our team remotely to work on high profile projects with clients such as the United Nations and General Electric.

You must have at least 4 years of experience working on medium or large scale enterprise level software, a degree in Computer Science or related subjects from a reputable university and speak fluent English.

Beside being highly fluent in Python and Django, the ideal candidate will be familiar with Git, Python testing tools and techniques, Docker, PostgreSQL, RESTful services, GNU/Linux systems.

Knowledge of data science and machine learning libraries a plus.

We have a wonderful office in the City of London but nearly half of our team has always been remote, and with the current pandemic situation persisting, we are looking to expand our operations with more great remote developers.

This position is to join a team is of 7/8 developers which are part of a larger team of 30/40, working on a logistics and admin application for a large humanitarian organisation.

This is a challenging full time position that requires being online continuously and actively during working hours, collaborating with colleagues, being in meetings, and generally being responsive between 10am and 6pm UK time. This is not the type of job where one gets a brief for a website, and codes it on a beach in their own time.

It is also not a small, short term engagement. For the right candidate, the work will last indefinitely. We have been going on for 5 years on that project, and there is no sign of it ending. We require someone to guarantee that they can work reliably for about 200 days a year. In other words we are looking for a stable relationship with someone who can work on a team with the highest degree of professionalism, albeit remotely.

The candidate will need to provide excellent academic qualifications in CS or a related discipline, that will be checked by our client.

Monthly legal invoices need to be issued and the candidate will have to demonstrate that they have a regular tax position where they reside and that they pay taxes according to the law.
