THE ROLE

As our SEO Lead, you will be key in growing and acquiring new users interested in crypto to join the ranks of the millions of users already on CMC. You will be reporting to our VP of Growth, and will be accountable for developing strategies for search and execute on them effectively. You will have great influence in growing the visibility of the crypto space to those who are new to crypto, and on how our team delivers products that will help these new users even better.


Requirements:

  • 3+ years developing and implementing SEO strategies and initiatives or related digital marketing campaigns
  • Proven track record in driving organic traffic growth attributable to SEO initiatives
  • Proficient in conducting keyword research with various tools such as ahref, Moz, etc. and performing competitive analysis to identify gaps in content or areas of improvement in design of the site
  • Experience with monitoring and reporting on important SEO metrics including organic traffic, conversion rates and time on site, and working with other teams to drive specific growth goals
  • Proven ability to implement link building strategies and manage backlinks to build domain authority
  • Experience in optimizing older content with better CTAs, optimizing pages for mobile, and making simple HTML/CSS attribute suggestions
  • Competence in setting up and optimizing paid search campaigns
  • Ability to analyze Google Analytics, Search Console and related site analytics data to glean insights for future improvements


Recommended:

  • Experience working on a remote team preferred
  • Past experience in managing and implementing SEO improvements
  • Familiarity with search tools and metrics and its relation to company goals and OKRs
  • Knowledge of financial markets and data
  • Passion for the world of cryptocurrency and related ecosystems
